3. How to Use the Product

1. Select and Power the Base Unit:
Place the base station roughly in the center of your desired containment area, avoiding large metal objects or deep trenches. Plug the base into any standard outlet (100–240 V AC). The LED ring will blink green to indicate it’s initializing.

2. Define Your Wireless Boundary: On
the PetMaxBox mobile app, tap “Set Home Zone,” then use the slider to choose a radius anywhere from 50 ft to 500 ft (15 m–152 m). Once you confirm, the base unit broadcasts that circular boundary wirelessly.

3. Pair Collar(s) with the Base Station:
Turn on each collar by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds. When the LED on the collar blinks blue, open the app’s “Add Collar” screen and wait for the collar to appear. Tap “Pair,” and the LED will turn solid blue to confirm successful pairing.

4. Adjust Correction Levels and Tone Settings:
In the app’s “Collar Settings,” choose one of five static correction levels (Level 1 = mild vibration to Level 5 = strongest static pulse) and toggle tone-only mode if you prefer audible warnings without corrections.

5. Attach the Collar to Your Dog:
Fasten the collar so that two metal contact points rest snugly against your dog’s neck. You should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s skin. A proper fit ensures reliable signal delivery.

6. Test the System: Walk your dog on
leash toward the boundary’s edge and verify that the collar first emits a tone and then, if you continue, applies the chosen correction. Return inside the safe zone and ensure the collar stops transmitting. Adjust settings as needed for comfort and effectiveness.

7. Monitor and Maintain: Regularly check the collar’s battery level in the app; when low, place the collar on its magnetic charging dock (included) for 2–3 hours to reach a full charge. Wipe the collar contacts and housing with a dry cloth after exposure to mud or moisture.

8.     Review Activity Logs: Open the app
to view your dog’s movement history—timestamps and location points—so you can
observe how often they approached the boundary and adjust training accordingly.
